Part of my #SummerDreaming Tree series. This piece is inspired by daydreaming through winter lockdown with thoughts of a British summer….Blossom, leaves, sun faded colours…imagined trees in dreamscapes of colour. Red Sky Trees is the seventh and last in the series and depicts a small row of summer trees bathed in a magenta red light at daybreak. The puce pink sky is painting dawn colours over the foliage and casting blush rose shades across the garden. The work is made of rust dyed vintage linen napkin and is hand painted, appliqued, then hand embroidered.
The textile piece measures approximately 15 x 15 cm and is float mounted onto off white mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures 25.5 x 25.5 cm. The frame has a D ring for easy wall hanging and also a stand for displaying on a shelf or table.
