Part of my #SummerDreaming Tree series. This piece is inspired by daydreaming through winter lockdown with thoughts of a British summer….Blossom, leaves, sun faded colours…imagined trees in dreamscapes of colour. Blue Jean Trees is the fourth in the series and depicts a row of late summer trees, their foliage worn, faded and frayed like much-loved denim , sitting along side a dusty roadside verge. The work is made from a rust dyed vintage linen napkin and is appliqued then hand embroidered.
The textile piece measures approximately 15 x 15 cm and is float mounted onto off white mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures 25.5 x 25.5 cm. The frame has a D ring for easy wall hanging and also a stand for displaying on a shelf or table.
