From my #100daysnearstrethall series. . The piece was inspired by a late Spring morning in Strethall Essex with the Elderflower trees blossoming in the lanes nearby. The work is composed of pieces of rusted, painted and printed repurposed linen and cotton with applique and free motion machine embroidery. The collage is embellished with a scattering of hand stitch embroidery.
The textile piece measures approximately 16 x 18 cm and is float mounted onto cream coloured mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures approx. 28 x 33 cm
