From my #100daysnearstrethall series. Hand painted bluebells appliqued onto a rusted and hand dyed linen background. The piece was inspired by the farm and yard at Strethall in North Essex and the bluebells in the woods nearby. The work is composed of pieces of rusted and painted repurposed linen and silk which are hand stitched together. The piece is backed with slate coloured repurposed linen
The textile piece measures approximately 22 x 24 cm and is float mounted onto off white mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures 33 x 33 cm
