Description

From my #100daysnearstrethall series. This piece was inspired by the corrugated iron barn at Strethall in North Essex.  The barn used to be rusty red in colour and was quite stunning on a sunny day.  A few years ago the farmer painted the walls black but fortunately left the roof in its beautiful rusty iron oxide red.  The work is a collage composed of scrap fabric pieces of rusted, eco-dyed, painted and printed repurposed linen and denim which resulted from my 100 day project. The fabrics are painted and then hand stitched by way of exploring the surfaces and colours of the barn.

The textile piece measures approximately 44 x 29 cm and is float mounted onto ivory mountboard.

The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures 54 x 44 cm

Free postage (Royal Mail 1st class signed for) in UK
