Description
From my #100daysnearstrethall series. . The piece was inspired during a walk between Catmere End and Littlebury Green in Essex. Passing by the red corrugated barns at Howe Hall Farm and the Hedge-Garlic (Jack-by-the-hedge) coming into flower in the lane nearby. The work is composed of collaged pieces of rusted, eco-dyed, painted and printed repurposed linen and denim. The fabrics are beautifully worn by use. The “Jack” plants are hand embroidered in red and sage green.
The textile piece measures approximately 25 x 31 cm and is float mounted onto off-white coloured mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures approx. 33 x 43cm
