Description
From my #100daysnearstrethall series. . The piece was inspired by the buildings and yard at Freewood Farm in Elmdon, Essex with Hedge-Garlic (Jack-by the hedge) growing in the lanes nearby. The work is composed of pieces of rusted, eco-dyed, painted and printed repurposed linen and silk with applique and free motion machine embroidery. The collage is backed with repurposed slate coloured linen.
The textile piece measures approximately 18 x 23 cm and is float mounted onto cream coloured mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures approx. 31 x 38 cm
