From my #100daysnearstrethall series. . This piece was inspired by the rusting corrogated metal of the barns at the farm at Strethall and Black Briony growing in the hedgerow nearby. The work is composed of pieces of rusted, eco-dyed and painted repurposed linen, cotton and silk with applique. The collage is textured with hand embroidery.
The textile piece measures approximately 17 x 21 cm and is float mounted onto cream coloured mountboard.
The frame is white painted wood box frame with glass and measures approx. 24 x 29 cm
